Life Insurance Underwriter

• Risk Assessment: Evaluate applicants' medical histories, physical conditions, financial backgrounds, and occupational hazards to confidently accept, modify, or decline coverage.
• Process Optimization: Act as a champion for continuous improvement, identifying ways to streamline workflows while strictly maintaining mortality expectations.
• Decision Communication: Articulate the reasoning behind your underwriting decisions clearly and professionally, both in writing and verbally.
• Independent Execution: Gather necessary information efficiently and manage your pipeline with minimal supervision.
• Navigate Ambiguity: Adapt quickly to changing priorities and new challenges in a fast-paced, startup atmosphere.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 3+ years of dedicated life insurance underwriting experience, with specific exposure to both term and permanent life insurance products.
• Technical Knowledge: Deep, demonstrated understanding of comprehensive risk selection, including medical, non-medical, and financial underwriting.
• Mindset: A highly collaborative, inclusive, and agile approach to problem-solving and critical thinking.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree is highly preferred.
• Certifications: Candidates who have completed or are actively pursuing industry designations (such as LOMA, ALMI, FMLI, ALU, or FALU) will be given strong preference.

Work Set-up: Work onsite

Work Shift: Rotating schedules during night, and day shift including weekends and Philippine holidays
