Job Responsibilities

• Supporting the swim program for the whole school including swim team, ECAs and swim curriculum
• Supporting the P.E Department to develop the concept of excellence in all aspects of its operations.
• Supporting colleagues with the specialist skills of the job holder
• Monitoring the performance of students and ensuring that assessment and reporting procedures are followed in accordance with school policy
• Participating in the formulation of school sports teams, duly coaching and managing as directed
• Supporting the ethos of healthy living throughout the school’s population
• Be mindful of the equipment used in school, checking to ensure it is fit for purpose and the spaces used for P.E. are safe.

Qualifications and Personal attributes

• Bachelor’s degree in related field.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a swimming coach.
• Relevant swimming coach qualification is essential.
• An individual with high energy and the communication schools to enthuse children regarding this discipline.
• A ‘can do’ mentality, treating all issues with positivity.
