Responsibilities

• Monitor swimming areas to prevent accidents and respond swiftly to emergencies.
• Enforce pool rules and safety regulations to maintain a safe environment for all guests.
• Perform water rescues and administer first aid or CPR as needed during medical emergencies or incidents.
• Conduct routine pool maintenance including cleaning, chemical checks, and equipment inspections to ensure optimal water quality and safety standards.
• Provide water safety instruction and guidance to guests, especially children and inexperienced swimmers.
• Assist with guest services by answering questions, providing directions, and ensuring a positive experience for all visitors.
• Respond promptly to public safety procedures, including cardiac arrest emergencies and water rescue responses, following established protocols.

Qualifications

• Valid lifeguard certification with current CPR, AED operation, and first aid training.
• Proven lifeguard experience in an aquatic facility setting.
• Strong swimming skills with the ability to perform water rescues efficiently.
• Knowledge of pool maintenance procedures and water safety instruction techniques.
• Experience working with children and providing excellent guest services in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting related to pool cleaning supplies or equipment when necessary.
• Familiarity with public safety procedures, medical emergency response protocols, and basic life support standards.
