Lifeguard

Role Summary

Ensure the safety of swimming pool users through active supervision, enforcement of pool rules and prompt response to emergencies.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor the pool and surrounding areas continuously to identify hazards and prevent accidents.
• Enforce pool safety rules and ensure users follow facility guidelines.
• Respond immediately to swimmers in distress and perform rescues when required.
• Administer first aid, CPR and use an AED within the scope of training.
• Check rescue equipment, first-aid supplies and emergency communication devices before each shift.
• Inspect pool areas, access points and safety signage, and report unsafe conditions.
• Conduct and record pool water checks as assigned, and report readings outside approved limits.
• Maintain daily inspection logs and accurate incident and accident reports.
• Assist with emergency evacuations and participate in safety drills.
• Coordinate with facility management, security and maintenance teams on safety concerns.
• Maintain clear visibility of the pool and arrange a qualified replacement before leaving the assigned post.

Requirements

• Valid lifeguard certification recognised by the relevant local authority.
• Valid first-aid, CPR and AED certifications.
• Previous lifeguard experience, preferably in residential communities, hotels or leisure facilities.
• Strong swimming and water-rescue skills.
• Physical fitness and the ability to remain alert throughout duty.
• Good communication skills and a calm approach during emergencies.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Pay: AED1,500.00 - AED2,000.00 per month
