Job Summary

We are seeking vigilant, certified, and dependable Freelance Lifeguards to provide temporary and event-based water safety coverage. In this role, you will oversee private pool parties, community aquatic events, resort functions, or short-term venue openings. You will be responsible for active scanning, accident prevention, enforcing safety guidelines, and delivering rapid emergency response when necessary.

Key Responsibilities

• Actively monitor swimming pools, water features, or open water environments to ensure safety.
• Prevent accidents by identifying hazards, scanning water zones, and enforcing pool and event rules.
• Execute rapid water rescues and administer First Aid, CPR, or AED treatment during medical emergencies.
• Perform pre-event safety inspections of life buoys, rescue tubes, and emergency response kits.
• Maintain clear, professional communication with event hosts, organizers, and guests.
• Complete incident reports accurately following any emergency or safety breach.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Certification: Valid Lifeguard Certification from a recognized authority (e.g., Red Cross, Ellis & Associates, Highfield, ILS, or local municipality authority).
• Medical Training: Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of active lifeguarding experience (private events or community pools preferred).
• Physical Fitness: Strong swimming proficiency, physical stamina, and 20/20 corrected vision.
• Legal Status: Valid work authorization or freelance permit.

Work Location: In person
