Lift / Elevator Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Lift Engineer with hands-on expertise in installation, testing, commissioning, inspection, and handover of elevator systems for high-rise buildings. The candidate should have extensive experience in large-scale Government, Commercial, Institutional and Mixed-Use projects across India.

Key Responsibilities

Engineering & Execution

Manage complete lifecycle of lift and escalator systems from design review to final handover.

Review elevator shop drawings, specifications, layouts, shaft dimensions, pit and machine room requirements.

Coordinate with Civil, Structural, Electrical, Fire Fighting, HVAC and Architectural teams.

Monitor installation activities as per approved design and project schedule.

Verify shaft readiness, embedded items, inserts, brackets and builder works.

Testing & Commissioning

Witness factory inspections (FAT) and site acceptance testing (SAT).

Ensure proper testing, commissioning and performance validation of elevators.

Conduct ride quality, speed, safety and functional testing.

Verify integration with Fire Alarm, BMS, Access Control and Emergency systems.

Quality & Safety

Ensure compliance with NBC, IS Codes, State Lift Regulations and project specifications.

Maintain quality documentation, inspection records and installation checklists.

Implement safe work practices during installation and testing activities.

Coordination & Handover

Coordinate with lift OEMs.

Prepare O&M manuals, training documents and handover records.

Support defect liability period activities.

Fireman lifts and evacuation lifts.

Elevator traffic analysis.

Escalators and moving walks.

AutoCAD and MS Office.

Vendor management and stakeholder coordination.
