Pay Rate: $16-$17/hour depending on experience 
Age Requirement: 18+

About the Role:  We’re looking for a reliable, safety-first, snow-loving team
to operate ski lifts at Maple Ski Ridge. As lift operator, 
you’ll ensure our guests get uphill safely and efficiently — and have fun doing 
it! You'll work alongside a team of operators and attendants, maintain compliance with 
safety regulations, and work closely with guests and your supervisor to ensure a safe, fun time for all.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following- other duties may be assigned:

Responsible for lift preparation including snow removal, raking, setting bamboo corrals and checking all safety circuits. 
Proper completion of daily lift logs and checklists. 
Assists customers onto lift as long as lift safety is not compromised while doing so. *
Verify customers have proper area use pass. 
Maintains proper snow height to assist customers to lift. 
Responsible for ensuring snow and ice removal from lifts and work stations. 
Cleans work area at the end of shift to include trash removal. 
Maintain rigorous safety standards in compliance with NYS regulations and ANSI B77.1 as set by NSAA. Complete daily inspections and ensure logs and checklists are accurate. 
Monitor lift performance, troubleshoot operational issues, and coordinate with management and ski patrol as needed. 

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18-years-old.
• Must be able to read and interpret technical guides.
• Prior ski lift operation and leadership experience required.
• Working knowledge of ski lift safety procedures.
• Skiing or snowboarding experience preferred for terrain access.
• Strong communication, decision-making, and reasoning skills.

Physical Demands

• Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Work outside in cold, snow, or wet conditions for extended periods
• Use of shovels, rakes, hand-held power tools, and equipment such as ATVs
