Chaney Lifts Ltd is a well-established and successful family business with an outstanding reputation. We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Lift Service Engineer who would like to join a professional team maintaining and repairing lifts in London and the Home Counties.

Person specification and skills required:

• Qualified or working towards a minimum of NVQ level 3 and EOR/202 or equivalent in lift engineering
• Full driving licence
• You must be an experienced Lift Engineer with in-depth knowledge of a variety of different brands of equipment
• Ability and desire to learn new skills
• Effective communicator
• Computer / smart phone experience as we use a remote application for logging jobs and completing worksheets
• Woking in the South East/ South West of England
• Whilst you must be a team player it is essential that you can also work on your own initiative

As a qualified service lift engineer, you will be expected to:

• Carry out lift maintenance and lift service visits of the units within your territory
• Respond proactively and timely to lift breakdowns aiming to always achieve first time fix.
• Carry out minor lift repairs to achieve continual lift operation
• Liaise directly with the customer whilst on site and build a good working relationship
• Have in-depth knowledge of a variety of different makes and types of equipment, such as dock-levellers, goods and platform lifts, scissor lifts and hydraulics.
• Demonstrate that you can apply lift engineering principles to maintenance and fault diagnosis.
