Lifting Supervisor

We are looking for a lifting supervisor for overseeing all lifting operations to ensure safety and efficiency by coordinating teams, planning lifts, inspecting equipment, and enforcing safety protocols. They are responsible for ensuring that all lifting personnel are competent, that lifting plans and risk assessments are followed, and that all equipment is safe and operational before and during a lift.

Key responsibilities

• Planning and coordination:
• Coordinate all lifting activities in accordance with the lifting plan and safety regulations.
• Brief all lifting team members (crane operators, riggers, signalmen) on the plan, risk assessment, and safe procedures.
• Ensure the correct selection of crane, lifting accessories, and personnel for each job.
• Ensure the ground conditions are safe and suitable for lifting operations.
• Supervision and safety:
• Be present during all lifting operations to provide on-the-spot supervision and make decisions.
• Ensure that only competent, registered, and appointed personnel participate in lifting operations.
• Stop any operation that deviates from the lifting plan or becomes unsafe.
• Take immediate action to rectify unsafe conditions and ensure the area is safe.
• Equipment and maintenance:
• Inspect and check lifting equipment for faults before and during operations.
• Ensure crane operators perform daily checks on their equipment.
• Verify that the lifting machine's certification and maintenance inspection program are up to date.
• Communication and documentation:
• Communicate with various stakeholders, including site managers, crew members, and other departments.
• Keep accurate records of all lifting activities, including lift plans and risk assessments.
• Conduct pre-lift meetings or "toolbox talks" to reinforce safety procedures.

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month

Experience:

• Lifting Supervisor: 2 years (Preferred)
