Lifting Supervisor

We are looking for an experienced Lifting Supervisor to support a major industrial project.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, coordination and safe execution of lifting operations across the project, including heavy equipment, modules, critical lifts and tandem lifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and supervise all lifting operations across the project.
• Prepare and review lift plans, method statements and risk assessments .
• Supervise heavy, critical and tandem lifting operations .
• Coordinate crane operators, riggers and Anschläger .
• Ensure cranes, lifting accessories and lifting equipment are correctly inspected, certified and documented.
• Maintain lifting inspection records and associated documentation.
• Establish and control lifting exclusion zones .
• Monitor lifting activities to ensure compliance with project procedures and applicable regulations.
• Support Permit-to-Work (PTW) processes relating to lifting activities.
• Conduct pre-lift briefings and toolbox talks.
• Coordinate lifting activities with construction, logistics and site management teams.
• Ensure lifting operations are executed in accordance with approved lift plans and site procedures.

Experience Required

• Minimum 5 years of direct lifting supervision / lifting operations experience .
• Previous experience within:
• Oil & Gas or LNG
• Large EPC / industrial construction projects
• Strong practical experience supervising complex lifting operations.
• Demonstrable experience with:
• Heavy lifts
• Critical lifts
• Tandem lifts
• Crane operations
• Rigging activities
• Lifting accessories
• Lift planning
• Strong understanding of lifting equipment inspection, certification and documentation requirements .

German Regulatory Knowledge

Candidates should have knowledge of:

• BetrSichV
• TRBS 1203
• TRBS 2111
• DGUV Vorschrift 52
• DGUV Vorschrift 54
• DGUV Grundsatz 309-001

Preferred Qualifications

Ideally candidates will hold one or more of the following:

• Sachkundiger für Krane und Lastaufnahmemittel
• Lifting Supervisor certification
• LEEA certification
• OPITO Lifting Supervisor
• Equivalent internationally recognised lifting qualification

Software

Experience using lift planning software is preferred, including:

• 3D Lift Plan
• Similar crane and lift planning software
