Lifting Supervisor

• Supervise and coordinate lifting and rigging activities in accordance with approved lifting plans, method statements, and site safety requirements.
• Verify load weights, crane capacity, lifting radius, rigging arrangements, and ground conditions before each lift.
• Ensure cranes, lifting equipment, and accessories have valid inspection certificates and are suitable for the planned operation.
• Confirm that crane operators, riggers, and signalers hold the required qualifications and understand their assigned duties.
• Conduct pre-lift briefings and toolbox talks, establish exclusion zones, and ensure clear communication throughout lifting operations.
• Monitor weather conditions, equipment positioning, and nearby hazards; stop work whenever conditions are unsafe.
• Coordinate with the construction team, HSE personnel, and appointed lifting authority for routine and critical lifts.
• Report equipment defects, unsafe practices, incidents, and near misses, and maintain lifting records and checklists.
• Perform other ad hoc duties related to lifting operations and site coordination as assigned by management, within the scope of competency and applicable safety requirements.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Proven experience as a Lifting Supervisor in construction, oil and gas, infrastructure, or industrial projects.
• Valid Lifting Supervisor certification from a recognized training provider, meeting applicable client and local requirements.
• Sound knowledge of crane operations, load charts, rigging techniques, lifting accessories, and safe lifting practices.
• Ability to understand lifting plans, risk assessments, method statements, and technical drawings.
• Strong leadership and coordination skills, with the ability to supervise multicultural site teams.
• Good English communication skills for conducting briefings and issuing clear instructions.
• Safety-focused approach and confidence to stop unsafe operations.
• Relevant GCC experience and experience supervising critical lifts preferred.
