Light Vehicle Driver

Key Responsibilities

1. Driving and Transportation

• Operate company light vehicles (vans or pickup trucks) safely and adhere strictly to local traffic laws and regulations.
• Plan efficient daily delivery and pickup routes using GPS or navigation tools to ensure on-time service.
• Transport disposable plastic products safely from the main warehouse to client sites, retail outlets, restaurants, or branch offices.
• Maintain a clean driving record and immediately report any traffic fines, road incidents, or vehicle malfunctions to management.

2. Loading and Unloading Operations

• Manually load, stack, and secure plastic product cartons, cases, and pallets into the vehicle to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
• Offload goods at client locations or designated drop-off points with care, keeping in mind that plastic items are bulky yet can crack or crush if mishandled.
• Assist warehouse staff in staging, sorting, and organizing inventory prior to loading.
• Use basic material-handling equipment (such as hand trucks or trolleys) where available.

3. Order Verification and Documentation

• Check loaded items against delivery notes, invoices, or packing lists before departing the warehouse.
• Obtain customer signatures, official stamps, or digital proofs of delivery upon drop-off.
• Handle cash or cheque collections from clients when designated by the sales or accounting team.
• Report any stock shortages, damaged packages, or client rejections immediately to the supervisor or storekeeper.

4. Vehicle Care and Maintenance

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks (inspecting tires, engine oil, water, brakes, lights, and fuel levels).
• Keep the interior and exterior of the vehicle clean and tidy.
• Track and log vehicle mileage, fuel consumption, and routine service schedules.

5. Customer Service and Communication

• Maintain a polite and professional attitude when interacting with customers, store managers, and site receivers.
• Communicate promptly with the dispatch team or warehouse supervisor regarding traffic delays or delivery issues.
• License: Valid local Light Vehicle Driving License (Manual or Automatic as required by company fleet).
• Experience: Previous driving and delivery experience within the region.
• Physical Fitness: Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver bulky but lightweight-to-moderate boxes of plastic products regularly.
• Language: Basic working knowledge of English (and secondary languages like Hindi or Arabic are a strong plus).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From AED3,200.00 per month
