Apprenticeships Are Us is seeking a motivated 1st Year Light Vehicle Mechanic Apprentice to join one of our established host employers in Silverwater, NSW.

This is an exciting opportunity to begin your apprenticeship in a professional automotive workshop, gaining hands-on experience servicing, maintaining and repairing a variety of vehicles while completing your AUR30620 Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology.

No previous automotive experience is required. If you have a genuine interest in cars, a strong work ethic and are eager to learn, this could be the opportunity to start your automotive career.

What You'll Be Doing

Working alongside qualified automotive technicians, you'll develop practical skills across a range of workshop duties, including:

• Servicing and maintaining a variety of light vehicles.
• Assisting with the diagnosis and repair of mechanical and electrical faults.
• Working on engine, brake, steering and suspension systems.
• Replacing and repairing mechanical components.
• Conducting vehicle inspections, testing and performance checks.
• Learning to use diagnostic equipment and workshop technology.
• Carrying out routine servicing and preventative maintenance.
• Maintaining a safe, clean and professional workshop environment.

As your apprenticeship progresses, you'll take on greater responsibility and continue developing your mechanical, technical and diagnostic skills.

To be successful, you'll have:

• A strong interest in becoming a qualified Light Vehicle Mechanic.

• Strong attention to detail.
• A current driver's licence, with P1 or above.
• The ability to reliably travel to Silverwater, NSW for work.
