LIGHTING APPLICATIONS ENGINEER

What you’ll do:

The Lighting Applications Engineer supports the profitable growth of Crouse-Hinds lighting products by delivering high-quality pre-sales engineering support and application expertise. This role partners closely with customers, sales teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to develop optimized, compliant, and cost-effective lighting solutions for industrial and hazardous-area applications. The position combines lighting design, technical consulting, project execution, and customer support throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead project take-offs and coordinate technical activities for Crouse-Hinds lighting projects from initial inquiry through project completion.
• Collaborate with customers, sales teams, and engineering partners to develop compliant, cost-effective lighting solutions that meet project specifications and business objectives.
• Prepare engineering deliverables including lighting designs, photometric calculations, fixture layouts, scope documents, submittal packages, and bills of materials (BOMs).
• Perform lighting analysis and design using industry-standard software such as AGi32, DIALux, or equivalent platforms.
• Provide technical consultation and application support for lighting products, including product selection, specification review, and design optimization.
• Identify technical risks, project issues, or application challenges and recommend alternative solutions to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for project-related inquiries, technical assistance, and project status updates.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing, process improvements, and engineering best practices to enhance team effectiveness and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in lighting design, lighting applications engineering, or a related technical engineering role.
• Strong knowledge of lighting systems, luminaire specifications, electrical fundamentals, and industrial lighting applications.
• Proficiency in AGi32, DIALux, or other professional lighting design software.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to prepare technical documentation, project submittals, and bills of materials (BOMs).
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with customers, sales teams, and cross-functional stakeholders in a project environment.
• Experience with hazardous-area or explosion-proof lighting applications within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Chemical Processing, Mining, or Heavy Industrial environments.
• Experience using AutoCAD and familiarity with Navisworks or other 3D modeling/review software.
• Knowledge of international lighting standards and practices, including IES and EN standards.
• Amenable to work in Vertis North, Quezon City.

Pay: Php38,000.00 - Php55,000.00 per month
