Job Summary

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Lighting Designer to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for developing professional lighting designs, preparing lighting layouts and calculations, selecting suitable lighting products, and supporting clients and project teams throughout the design and execution stages.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop lighting concepts and designs for residential, commercial, hospitality, retail, and architectural projects.
• Prepare lighting layouts, reflected ceiling plans, and detailed lighting drawings.
• Perform lighting calculations and simulations using software such as DIALux / DIALux evo.
• Select appropriate luminaires based on project requirements, aesthetics, performance, and energy efficiency.
• Prepare lighting fixture schedules, technical submittals, and product specifications.
• Coordinate lighting designs with architects, interior designers, MEP consultants, and contractors.
• Review project drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with design requirements.
• Provide technical support and product recommendations to clients and the sales team.
• Prepare lighting presentations, proposals, and material selections.
• Attend client meetings, site visits, and project coordination meetings when required.
• Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers regarding technical specifications, samples, and product availability.
• Assist the sales team in preparing quotations and technical solutions where required.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant UAE standards, project specifications, and energy-efficiency requirements.
• Follow up on projects from the design stage through to implementation and handover.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Lighting Design, Architecture, Interior Design, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in lighting design, preferably in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of DIALux / DIALux evo.
• Good knowledge of AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit is an advantage.
• Good understanding of LED lighting products, optics, colour temperature, CRI, beam angles, lumen output, and energy efficiency.
• Ability to read and understand architectural and MEP drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and creative design skills.
• Good communication and presentation skills.
• Good command of English; Arabic is an advantage.
• UAE experience and knowledge of local lighting projects are preferred.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with architectural and decorative lighting.
• Knowledge of lighting control systems such as DALI, 0–10V, DMX, and smart lighting systems.
• Experience preparing lighting calculations and technical documentation.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong teamwork and client-facing skills.
