Lightingman

Job Purpose:

To provide professional lighting support for studio, EFP, OB, live event and digital productions, ensuring high-quality visual presentation and reliable production operations. The role supports traditional and emerging production environments through the effective use of lighting technologies, automation systems and cross-functional production capabilities.

Principal Accountabilities:

1. Operate lighting systems for studio, EFP, OB, live event and digital content productions.
2. Support the setup, rigging, programming, operation and maintenance of lighting equipment and control systems.
3. Support rehearsals, live broadcasts, recorded productions and remote production operations.Perform audio post-production including audio editing, dialogue enhancement, synchronization, mixing and final programme preparation.
4. Troubleshoot lighting equipment, control consoles and network-based lighting systems to ensure reliable production services.
5. Collaborate with production teams and provide cross-functional support in camera, audio and production operations as required, while adopting new lighting technologies and automation workflows.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

• Diploma or above in Broadcasting, Media Production, Lighting Technology, Theatre Technology, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2-5 years' experience in studio, EFP, OB, live event or production lighting operations.
• Good knowledge of lighting consoles, DMX, lighting distribution systems, LED lighting fixtures and intelligent lighting systems.
• Familiarity with Art-Net, sACN, network-based lighting systems, production automation or IP-enabled production environments is an advantage.
• Good communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills, with the ability to support cross-functional production operations and willingness to learn new production technologies.
