Line Cook and Prep Cook

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Food Preparation Worker to join our culinary team. In this role, you will assist in the preparation of meals and ensure that food is handled safely and efficiently. You will play a vital part in maintaining the kitchen's cleanliness and organization, contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of ingredients for meals, including washing, chopping, and measuring food items.
• Follow food safety guidelines and maintain high standards of hygiene in the kitchen.
• Help cooks with meal preparation tasks as directed, ensuring timely service.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas throughout the shift.
• Store food items properly to prevent spoilage and contamination.
• Assist in inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods.

Skills

• Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations within the food industry.
• Experience working in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
• Willingness to learn new cooking techniques and meal preparation methods.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and perform tasks that require lifting and moving items.
