About Leucadia Pizzeria and Italian Restaurant:

We specialize in gourmet pizzas, fresh salads, delicious pastas, and savory subs – all made from high-quality, fresh ingredients prepared daily in our scratch-made kitchen. With a selection of gluten-free options, we truly have something for everyone. We take pride in superior service, ensuring every meal is delivered with care – whether to your table or your door.
About the Role:
The Cook is a Back of House team member responsible for preparing high-quality menu items according to established recipes, portions, presentation standards, and food safety requirements. Cooks help maintain an efficient, organized, clean, and well-stocked kitchen while working closely with other kitchen employees, Front of House team members, and management.
Key Responsibilities:

- Order Accuracy – Review guest orders carefully and follow modifications, substitutions, allergy notices, and special instructions accurately.
- Food Preparation and Production – Complete assigned preparation and production duties before and during service to keep stations ready and support timely order completion.
- Inventory and Stocking – Monitor station inventory, restock ingredients and supplies, notify management of low or unavailable products, and help prevent shortages during service.
- Food Storage and Waste Control – Properly label, date, rotate, cool, store, and discard food products. Maintain appropriate portions and help minimize unnecessary food waste.
- Food Safety and Sanitation – Follow all food safety, allergen, cross-contamination, handwashing, sanitation, temperature-control, and workplace safety procedures.
- Cleaning and Organization – Clean and sanitize equipment, utensils, tools, work surfaces, shelving, floors, storage areas, and kitchen spaces throughout the shift.
- Dish Pit Support – Assist with washing dishes, cookware, utensils, food containers, and kitchen equipment as needed to support restaurant operations.
- Equipment Operation – Safely operate knives, ovens, stovetops, fryers, slicers, mixers, and other kitchen equipment after receiving proper training and authorization.
- Kitchen Communication – Communicate clearly with cooks, servers, counter employees, delivery employees, dishwashers, and management regarding order timing, modifications, product needs, and operational concerns.
- Teamwork and Station Support – Work cooperatively with the kitchen team and assist other stations when needed and appropriately trained.
- High-Volume Service – Work efficiently and with urgency during busy periods while maintaining food quality, safety, cleanliness, and order accuracy.
- Takeout, Delivery, and Catering Support – Assist with the preparation, packaging, organization, and completion of takeout, delivery, catering, and large-volume orders.
- Receiving and Storage – Assist with receiving, inspecting, organizing, and storing food products, ingredients, and restaurant supplies.
- Opening, Closing, and Shift Duties – Complete assigned opening, shift-change, cleaning, restocking, and closing duties and checklists.
- Communication with Management – Promptly report out-of-stock products, supply needs, equipment problems, food-quality concerns, unsafe conditions, injuries, order issues, or other operational concerns to management.
- Additional Responsibilities – Participate in deep cleaning, inventory organization, training, special projects, and other restaurant duties as assigned.
