Line Cook

Reports to: Kitchen Manager/Assistant Manager/General Manager

Job type: Full-time, Part-time; Night and weekend availability is required.

Compensation: Starting $18/hour

Job Summary:

The Line Cook is responsible for following recipes, managing the flow of orders, maintaining station cleanliness, and ensuring high-quality, timely food service. Additionally, Line Cooks will help prepare food and ingredients and wash dishes when a prep cook and dishwasher are not present.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare all food items, based on standardized recipes and practices
• Comply with all applicable sanitation, health, and personal hygiene standards
• Ensure that food comes out high quality, and in a timely fashion
• Exhibit a positive attitude and good teamwork with all teammates
• Maintain knowledge of days and events that may require extra prep
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including washing dishes when needed
• Label, date, and rotate inventory
• Dispose of expired or otherwise unfit food and ingredients
• Sanitize, stock, and shut down work area at end of shift

Skills

• Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations within a restaurant or food service environment
• Strong knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques and ingredient prep
• Ability to follow recipes accurately and adhere to food safety management practices
• Excellent communication skills for effective coordination with kitchen staff
• Familiarity with cleaning protocols and operating various kitchen equipment safely
• Experience in catering is highly desirable

Physical Demands:

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

· Ability to be on your feet and alert for extended periods of time

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.

· Ability to work in elevated/lowered temperatures.

· Ability to work in wet conditions (non weather)

· Ability to work using your hands continuously.

· Ability to work continuously while bending, reaching and twisting.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
