Line Cook

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cooks to join our BOH opening team at the new Recess Tivoli on the Auraria Campus in downtown Denver. . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently while adhering to the highest standards of food safety and presentation.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
• Assist with meal preparation, ensuring all ingredients are fresh and properly stored.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including proper food handling practices.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
• Utilize various kitchen equipment, including knives and cooking appliances, safely and effectively.
• Participate in menu planning and contribute creative ideas for new dishes.
• Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food as required.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the kitchen.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with fine dining standards and catering services is a plus.
• Strong skills in meal preparation, food handling, and knife techniques are essential.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new culinary skills.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Reliable transportation

Compensation & Benefits

Pay Range: $20–$23 hourly, depending on experience, qualifications, and leadership background.

Additional Compensation Information

• This position is hourly.
• Discretionary performance-based bonuses may be available based on individual and/or company performance. Bonus opportunities are not guaranteed and may vary from year to year.
