Line Cook

SON is seeking skilled and dynamic Line Cooks to join our opening team. This role is essential to delivering high-quality, consistent dishes during brunch and dinner service. The Line Cook is responsible for executing menu items with precision, maintaining station organization, and supporting a clean, efficient kitchen environment.

This is an opportunity to grow within a professional, high-energy restaurant team from day one.

• Pay: $13-15 per hour
• Schedule: AM and PM shifts available. Weekend and holiday availability.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards
• Collaborate with the culinary team to create innovative dishes that align with our hospitality standards.
• Set up and stock kitchen station
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstation throughout shift
• Ensure proper food handling, storage, and labeling procedures
• Communicate effectively with kitchen team during service
• Follow all food safety and sanitation standards

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Line Cook or in a similar kitchen role required. Minimum 2 years previous experience is preferred.
• Strong understanding of cooking techniques and kitchen operations
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and consistency
• Team-oriented mindset and professional attitude
• Must be at least 18 years old

Who we are

SON is a new restaurant opening at The Weekender Hotel in San Juan, operating seven days a week and serving brunch and dinner to both hotel guests and the local community. We are building a dynamic, high-standards team focused on delivering exceptional hospitality.

Benefits

We offer $150 in reimbursement for health insurance and $35 in reimbursement for wellness expenses (such as gym memberships, yoga classes, etc.).

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
