Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality.
• Assist in menu planning by providing input on dish presentation and ingredient selection.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work station in compliance with food safety regulations.
• Handle food with care, adhering to proper food handling procedures to ensure freshness and safety.
• Support catering events and special functions by preparing large quantities of food efficiently.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service.
• Follow all food industry safety standards, including proper knife skills, sanitation practices, and temperature controls.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable.
• Proven restaurant or kitchen experience demonstrating proficiency in food preparation and cooking techniques.
• Strong knowledge of food safety protocols and food handling procedures.
• Skilled in meal preparation, food presentation, and culinary techniques including knife skills.
• Experience with menu planning, catering, and serving in a fast-paced environment is a plus.
• Familiarity with the food industry standards for cleanliness, safety, and quality assurance.
