Josephine’s is a modern Italian restaurant in the heart of Mid City Baton Rouge, with a menu centered around housemade pastas, pizzas and seasonal dishes. Josephine’s is part of Davis Hospitality Group, a locally owned restaurant group that also includes Eliza Restaurant & Bar and JED’s Local.

About the Position

We're looking for dependable, hardworking Line Cooks who care about good food and want to continue developing their skills. Professional kitchen experience is preferred, but we're also happy to train someone with the right attitude, strong work ethic and genuine interest in learning.

You'll work alongside an experienced kitchen team in a restaurant where ingredients, technique, consistency and teamwork matter.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and cook menu items according to Josephine's recipes and standards
• Set up and maintain a clean, organized station
• Work efficiently and consistently during service
• Follow food safety, sanitation and proper food-handling procedures
• Communicate and work closely with the rest of the kitchen team
• Assist with prep, opening and closing responsibilities
• Learn new stations and techniques as your skills develop

What We're Looking For

• A genuine interest in cooking and learning
• Dependable, punctual and ready to work
• Able to stay organized and composed in a busy kitchen
• Positive attitude and willingness to take direction
• Restaurant kitchen experience preferred, but not required for the right candidate
• Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends

Pay $13–$17/hour, based on experience
