Line Cook

Duties

• Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes, ensuring consistency and quality.
• Operate various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, fryers, and food processors.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering strictly to food safety standards.
• Assist with food preparation tasks such as slicing, dicing, portioning, and plating to meet presentation guidelines.
• Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and prevent cross-contamination.
• Collaborate closely with kitchen staff to coordinate meal production and ensure timely service.
• Support menu planning efforts by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation techniques.

Experience

• Previous experience working in a food service environment or restaurant setting is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of dietary department practices and dietary aide experience is a plus.
• Skilled in knife handling, slicing techniques, and recipe adherence to maintain quality standards.
• Familiarity with food safety management practices, including HACCP principles and sanitation protocols.
• Experience with catering or large-scale meal preparation is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills for effective coordination with kitchen staff and team members.

Pay: $25.64 - $30.88 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
