Line Cook

Local high volume restaurant looking for Grave shift cooks.

Duties

• Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and presentation standards, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, fryers, slicers, and food processors
• Assist with menu planning by preparing ingredients and suggesting improvements based on culinary best practices
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety standards and sanitation protocols at all times
• Handle food with care, following proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination and ensure freshness
• Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff through clear communication to coordinate meal preparation and delivery
• Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food while maintaining quality and presentation standards

Qualifications

• Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or as a dietary aide within a restaurant or food service environment
• Strong knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques and ingredient portioning
• Knowledge of safety standards in food production and food safety management practices
• Experience with meal preparation, recipe adherence, and catering operations is highly desirable
• Familiarity with operating various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate seamlessly with kitchen team members
• Prior dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus but not mandatory; enthusiasm for learning is essential

Pay: From $21.00 per hour
