Starting Pay: $18.50/hour + Tip Share ($3.50–$4.50/hour average)
Typical Total Compensation: $22.00–$23.00/hour

Basilwood Kitchen is a busy, growing fast-casual Italian restaurant in Edgewater, and we’re looking for an experienced line cook to join our kitchen team.

We are specifically looking for someone with solid sauté and/or pizza line experience who is comfortable working at a fast pace and can stay organized and consistent during a busy service.

What You’ll Do

• Work sauté/pasta and/or pizza station
• Prepare and execute orders quickly and consistently
• Manage multiple tickets during busy service
• Maintain station setup, stocking and cleanliness
• Follow recipes, portions and food-safety standards
• Communicate and work well with the rest of the kitchen team
• Assist with prep and opening/closing duties as needed

What We’re Looking For

• Previous line cook experience required
• Sauté and/or pizza experience strongly preferred
• Comfortable working in a high-volume kitchen
• Dependable and able to show up on time for scheduled shifts
• Able to work efficiently without sacrificing food quality
• Team-oriented with a positive, professional attitude
• Evening and weekend availability preferred

Compensation

Starting wage: $18.50/hour

All hourly employees also participate in our tip share, which is currently averaging approximately $3.50–$4.50/hour, bringing typical total hourly compensation to approximately $22–$23/hour.
