Line Cook

We've launched a new chef-driven kitchen inside one of Bushwick's busiest neighborhood bars, and we're looking for an exceptional line cook to help build it from the ground up. This is a small family business and we're growing quickly!

You'll work directly alongside the chef as part of a small, ambitious team creating a food program inside an established bar with a built-in customer base.

What You'll Do

Prepare and execute food during service
Assist with prep and mise en place
Maintain a clean, organized station
Help with food running and kitchen dishes during service
Follow recipes and maintain consistent quality
Work closely with the chef to improve systems and operations
Help build a kitchen culture based on teamwork, professionalism, and respect

We're Looking For Someone Who

Has at least 2 years of professional kitchen experience
Has a stellar work ethic and is exceptionally reliable
Moves with urgency while staying organized
Takes pride in cleanliness and attention to detail
Works well under pressure
Has a positive attitude and enjoys working on a small team
Wants to grow with a new food program rather than simply work another line cook job

Experience with elevated bar food or comfort food is a plus, but attitude and work ethic matter more than any specific cuisine.

Compensation

$18–20/hour, based on experience, plus tips!

Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
