About Us

Syrup & Saffron is a brunch restaurant in Lombard focused on high-quality breakfast and brunch dishes. Our menu features creative brunch classics, specialty pancakes, and Mediterranean-inspired items. We are seeking experienced Line Cooks who can work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen and take pride in preparing high-quality food.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to restaurant standards
• Set up and maintain cooking stations during service
• Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation meet restaurant standards
• Assist with prep work and kitchen organization
• Maintain cleanliness and follow food safety and sanitation standards
• Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service
• Communicate effectively with other kitchen staff and front-of-house team
• Ensure stations are stocked and ready for service

Requirements

• Previous kitchen or line cook experience required
• Experience working in a brunch and/or Mediterranean restaurant highly preferred
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Strong attention to detail and consistency
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
• Ability to stand for long periods and handle a high-volume service
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Weekend availability required
