Line Cook

Job Summary

Duties

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards.
• Handle food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients with attention to food safety and hygiene.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and workstations.
• Follow all food handling procedures to ensure safety and compliance with health regulations.
• Serve dishes promptly and professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times.

Experience

• Prior line-cook experience in restaurants or hotels is preferred.
• Strong knife skills, ability to follow recipes and station guides.
• Familiarity with food-handling and sanitation standards relevant to a cook role.
• Physical requirements: Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs; tolerate hot kitchen environments.
• Availability: Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Background check: Employment may be contingent on a background check and driving-record verification where applicable.

Required Certification

• Arizona Food Handler Permit: A valid Arizona Food Handler Permit/Certificate is required. Candidates must present proof of a current permit at hire.
