Line Cook

Il Forno a Legna is looking for an experienced and dependable Line Cook to join our kitchen team.

We are a busy wood-fired Italian restaurant serving pizza, pasta, appetizers, entrees, and catering. We're looking for someone who can work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen, maintain consistency, and take pride in the food they put out.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and restaurant standards
• Work efficiently during busy lunch and dinner service
• Complete daily food prep and keep your station fully stocked
• Prepare ingredients including meats, vegetables, pasta, sauces, and other menu items
• Maintain proper portion sizes, presentation, and food quality
• Communicate with the kitchen team to ensure orders are prepared accurately and on time
• Keep your station clean, organized, and sanitary throughout the shift
• Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures
• Properly use and maintain kitchen equipment
• Assist with opening and closing duties
• Help with catering orders and special events as needed
• Support other kitchen stations when needed

What We're Looking For

• Previous line cook or restaurant kitchen experience preferred
• Strong knife and food preparation skills
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a high-volume kitchen
• Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistency
• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
• Comfortable working as part of a team
• Good communication skills
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a hot, fast-paced kitchen
• Italian restaurant or pizzeria experience is a plus
