Line Cook

Job Summary
The Raven in Woods Bay is seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of food safety and handling practices, as well as experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in preparing high-quality dishes while ensuring that all food is handled safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
• Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and dietary department guidelines.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to plan menus and assist in menu development.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and cooking stations.
• Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management.
• Participate in daily prep work to ensure the kitchen operates smoothly during service hours.
• Help maintain equipment, ensuring it is clean and functioning properly.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant.
• Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Familiarity with dietary restrictions prefered.
• Willingness to learn.
• A passion for cooking and commitment to delivering high-quality dishes.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Able to show up on time
