Vinwood Taphouse is looking for a dependable and experienced Line Cook to join our kitchen team. We are looking for someone who works well in a fast-paced environment, communicates well with others, and takes pride in preparing quality food.

The ideal candidate is reliable, organized, able to stay calm during busy shifts, and willing to jump in wherever needed. Weekend availability is required.

Duties

• Prepare and cook menu items according to our recipes and standards.
• Work efficiently on the line during busy lunch and dinner services.
• Set up and maintain a clean, organized workstation.
• Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Monitor food quality, portions, and presentation.
• Assist with prep, stocking, cleaning, and other kitchen duties as needed.
• Communicate and work closely with other cooks and front-of-house staff.
• Help with opening and closing kitchen duties.
• Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a team-oriented work environment.

Qualifications

• Previous line cook or restaurant kitchen experience preferred.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation and safe food-handling practices.
• Dependable and able to arrive on time for scheduled shifts.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Able to follow directions and work independently when needed.
• Must be available to work weekends and some evenings.
• Oregon Food Handler Card required or ability to obtain one.
