Sushi Line Cook — Full Time

The Little Sushi Shop is looking for an experienced Sushi Line Cook to join our small team.

We’re an 8-seat sushi shop inspired by Japanese yokocho — casual, unconventional and focused on great food without the traditional sushi-bar atmosphere. Our menu includes rolls, nigiri, sashimi and Japanese comfort food.

What we need

• Previous sushi kitchen experience
• Strong knife and fish-handling skills
• Comfortable cleaning, portioning and slicing salmon, tuna, yellowtail and other fish
• Experience preparing rolls, nigiri and sashimi
• Daily prep of sauces, bases and mise en place
• Clean, organized and consistent workstation
• Reliable and punctual
• Basic conversational English — Chef primarily communicates in English

Schedule

The restaurant operates Tuesday through Sunday, so availability within those days is required. This is a full-time position, approximately 5 days / 40 hours per week. Specific days and shifts will be discussed based on the restaurant’s needs and the candidate’s availability.

Weekend availability is important.

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
