Herb Alpert’s Vibrato Grill Jazz is hiring a Line Cook for our Bel Air supper club.

Vibrato is Los Angeles’ premier jazz room and a contemporary American restaurant, conceived by Grammy-winning trumpeter Herb Alpert. Guests come for live music, a warm room, and a kitchen that holds its own: prime steaks, seafood, seasonal plates, and composed sides. We cook for a full dining room every night the music is on.

This is a working station job in a high-volume, high-standard kitchen. You will own your station from prep through service, plate clean food on time, and keep your mise tight while the room is full.

What you’ll do:

• Set up, fire, and break down a hot or cold station during dinner service
• Prep proteins, sauces, vegetables, and garnishes to spec and par
• Plate consistently: temperature, portion, presentation
• Work clean: station organization, labeling, rotation, and end-of-night breakdown
• Communicate with the sauté, grill, garde manger, and expo during the rush
• Follow recipes, ticket times, and chef direction without shortcuts
• Meet California food-safety standards (temperatures, cross-contamination, allergen calls)

What we’re looking for:

• 3+ year of line experience in a full-service restaurant (upscale, steakhouse, or high-volume preferred)
• Comfort on grill, sauté, or garde manger
• Knife skills, station organization, and the ability to read a ticket and stay calm in the rush
• Reliable transportation to Beverly Glen Circle (Bel Air). Evening and weekend availability required
• California Food Handler card required; ServSafe preferred
• English sufficient to take direction and call tickets on the line

Pay & Benefits:

• Starting pay: $25/hour, based on experience and station
