Line Cook

Overview

Join our family-run restaurant as a night shift line cook and bring your passion for food to life in a fast-paced, energetic environment! As a vital member of the kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes. Your role is essential in maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and cleanliness.

We are open Monday-Saturday, 11am - 9pm.

Night shift hours vary and we are very flexible with scheduling.

Typical hours would be 2pm - 9pm per shift.

Duties

• Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, fryers, and food processors efficiently and safely.
• Cook menu items (all food instructions are listed and easy to follow) and read tickets to create each dish. Make every dish look amazing!
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment to meet health and safety standards (there are lists/guidelines posted to follow).
• Collaborate closely with kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow and timely meal service during busy hours.
• Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination and ensure freshness of all ingredients.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service, restaurant kitchens, or culinary environments is preferred but not necessary.
• Demonstrated skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, knife skills, slicing methods, and recipe adherence.
• Ability to operate various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently under pressure.
• Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team.
