Duties

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards
• Assist in menu planning by suggesting creative dish ideas and modifications
• Handle food with care, ensuring proper food safety and hygiene practices are followed at all times
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, including knife skills and food handling areas
• Support catering events and special functions with timely meal preparation and serving
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations and excellent food service
• Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, communicating needs for restocking

Requirements

• Previous experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles is highly desirable
• Proven background in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant experience
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
• Skilled in meal preparation, knife skills, and food industry best practices
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Experience with menu planning, catering, or serving is a plus
• Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude and eagerness to learn
