Line Cook – Meiji Japanese Cuisine

Meiji Japanese Cuisine is seeking a reliable, hardworking Line Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate is passionate about food, works well in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in preparing high-quality dishes with consistency and attention to detail.

As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing ingredients, cooking menu items according to restaurant standards, maintaining a clean and organized workstation, and working closely with the kitchen team to ensure timely service. Experience with Japanese cuisine is a plus but not required—we're willing to train the right candidate with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards.
• Set up and stock workstations with necessary ingredients and supplies.
• Maintain cleanliness and follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Assist with food preparation, inventory, and kitchen organization.
• Work efficiently during busy service periods while maintaining quality.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications:

• Previous line cook or restaurant kitchen experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to stand for extended periods.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
