About Us

Bull and Bean is a neighborhood restaurant and market located in Hope Valley Square. We serve Counter Culture coffee and espresso drinks, artisan sandwiches, unique salads, house-made soups, and scratch-baked goods. Our menu features breakfast all day, and we’re known for our amazing weekend brunch every Saturday and Sunday from 8 AM to 3 PM.

In addition to our café, we offer weekday catering and a curated selection of prepared dinners and gourmet groceries. We're passionate about good food, great service, and creating a welcoming space for both our guests and our team.

What You’ll Do

As Line Cook

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients by chopping, cutting, measuring, and portioning.
• Cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, fryers, ovens, and sauté pans.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout the shift.
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Ensure proper food storage and labeling.
• Work with other kitchen staff to coordinate orders during service.
• Monitor food quality and report any issues to the chef or manager.
• Assist with restocking ingredients and supplies.
• Help with kitchen closing duties and cleaning.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and consistency in food preparation.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift kitchen supplies.
• Food safety knowledge (food handler certification may be required).
