Line Cook

Busy restaurant in the heart of downtown Chester is looking to bring onboard another line cook. Position is part time or full time with 3-5 shifts available weekly depending on the candidates preference. Schedule can be flexible.

The ability to work independently and as a team player as well as maintaining a sense of urgency and being able to multi task will be key for this position. Our restaurant has been open for over four years and we have established ourselves as a top restaurant in the area with much of our business coming from repeat clientele. Our online reputation is 5 stars on every platform.

Responsibilities:

• Assist executive and sous chef with daily tasks
• Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
• Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
• Clearly communicate with other coworkers
• Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
• Assist with dishes, cleanliness and organizational projects
• End of the night cleanup
• Stock inventory appropriately
• Ensure that food comes out simultaneously and in a timely fashion
• Comply with sanitation regulations and safety standards
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
• Collaborate and work with the chef to create fun, inventive and high quality menu items and specials

Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
