Huntley Santa Monica Beach sits one block from Ocean Avenue, Palisades Park, and the beach, with 204 rooms and suites and the Penthouse restaurant and lounge on the 18th floor, led by Executive Chef Job Carder. Below the rooftop, our banquet kitchen feeds corporate meetings, receptions for up to 300, and intimate weddings in event spaces that look out over the ocean. We are a small team that knows each other by name, and we promote from within.

Our Next Family Member

We are hiring a Line Cook for our banquet and catering kitchen. You will prepare and cook from our recipes and standards, keep your station ready, and get food out on time for events of 20 to 300 guests.

What you will do

• Prep, portion, and store ingredients for the day’s events
• Set up and stock your station before service
• Cook menu items with the rest of the line
• Plate on time and to standard
• Break down and clean your station, and handle leftover product properly
• Keep inventory stocked and rotated
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and nutrition regulations

What you bring

• Proven line cook experience, catering or banquet experience preferred
• Command of cooking methods, equipment, ingredients, and kitchen procedures
• Speed and accuracy under event timelines
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and a current California Food Handler card
• Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays, since events drive the schedule

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
