Line Cook

About the role

We are seeking a talented and dedicated Line Cook to join the kitchen team at GLORY RICH RISE LIMITED. This is a full-time position based in Kwun Tong District. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the quality and consistency of our culinary offerings, working within a fast-paced kitchen environment to prepare and cook meals to the highest standards. Your contribution will directly impact our guests' dining experience and the reputation of our establishment.

What you'll be doing

• Prepare and cook food items according to established recipes and portion standards
• Maintain and monitor assigned cooking stations, ensuring cleanliness and organisation at all times
• Follow food safety and hygiene protocols to ensure the safety of all meals prepared
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service during service periods
• Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure food is cooked to specification
• Receive and execute orders promptly, communicating effectively with kitchen management and servers
• Prep ingredients and assist with mise en place activities before service
• Maintain inventory of cooking supplies and report shortages to management
• Assist with plating and presentation of dishes to meet restaurant standards
• Support the broader kitchen team in achieving daily operational goals and objectives

What we're looking for

• Proven experience working as a Line Cook or similar role in a professional kitchen environment
• Solid understanding of cooking techniques, food preparation methods and culinary terminology
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and HACCP principles
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks simultaneously
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high quality standards
• Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
• Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are advantageous
