Line Cook

Duties

• Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, fryers, and mixers
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety and sanitation protocols
• Assist with meal assembly, plating, and presentation to ensure visual appeal
• Follow food handling procedures to ensure safety and prevent contamination
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and meet service deadlines
• Support menu planning efforts by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation methods

Skills

• Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or as a dietary aide in a restaurant or healthcare setting
• Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to safety standards in production
• Ability to operate various kitchen equipment safely and effectively
• Excellent communication skills for seamless coordination with kitchen team members
• Familiarity with dietary department procedures and dietary guidelines is a plus
• Experience in catering or large-scale meal preparation is advantageous

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
