Line Cook

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Line Cook to join our culinary team at a high volume, upscale, Italian restaurant ! The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality meals while maintaining food safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items such as pastas, pizzas, grilled meats, seafood, antipasti, and desserts according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Set up and maintain line stations before and during service.
• Execute orders efficiently during peak hours while maintaining food quality, timing and presentation
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient meal service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace while adhering to health and safety standards including proper temperature control and cross contamination prevention.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning equipment, breaking down stations and prepping for the next shift.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
• Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed..

Skills

• 1-2 years of experience in high-volume Italian restaurant food preparation, cooking, and service is preferred but not essential.
• Food safety and handling.
• Strong knife skills and cooking techniques.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work within a team setting.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour
