Line Cook

Job Overview

As a Line Cook, you’ll prepare and cook meals that meet established recipes, quality expectations, and food safety standards. You’ll work closely with kitchen staff to keep service moving, maintain a clean and organized station, and support a positive dining experience. Your background may include restaurant, catering, food service, dietary department, or other kitchen experience.

Duties

• Prepare ingredients and meals using sound knife skills, including safe slicing techniques.
• Cook menu items according to recipes, portion guidance, and service needs; assist with menu planning as assigned.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and follow food handling and production safety standards.
• Communicate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and timely service.
• Clean and sanitize work areas, tools, and equipment throughout the shift.

Requirements

• Food preparation and cooking experience; kitchen, restaurant, food service, or food industry experience is helpful.
• Knowledge of food safety management and safe food handling practices.
• Ability to follow recipes, maintain cleanliness, and use kitchen equipment responsibly.
• Dietary aide, dietary department, catering, or other culinary experience is welcome but not required.
• Clear communication and dependable teamwork in a fast-paced kitchen.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
