Line Cook / Kitchen Helper

Tante Marie is looking for a Kitchen Helper to join our team. This position is responsible for performing a variety of tasks in the kitchen, including, but not limited to: preparing food and beverages for the kitchen staff and other guests, cleaning up the kitchen after closing, and assisting with special events in the kitchen.

Responsibilities
Prepare food and/or other items for serving (e.g. by cutting, painting, cooking etc.)

• Wash and clean dishes, glassware and other kitchen equipment
• Cook menu items that are set out at the proper time
• Ensure that all food and beverages are served at the proper speed
• Receive and distribute orders quickly and accurately
• Assist in the maintenance of the kitchen equipment (e.g. washing dishes and using equipment to store ingredients)
• Maintain the safety of the kitchen area while preparing for events
• Ensure that all event areas are clean and orderly
• Attend meetings, seminars and training as required.

Qualifications
Must be able to speak, read and understand English. We will train you on the local language.

• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends. We are open most days of the week.
• Must be able to follow oral and written instructions.
• Must be able to spend time standing or walking during shifts. The position requires frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, pulling as well as reaching, stooping, stepping up and walking up stairs as needed to complete tasks assigned in the kitchen area.

Pay: $7.25 - $14.00 per hour
