Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality.
• Assist in menu planning by preparing components that align with daily specials and seasonal offerings.
• Handle food with care, following all food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
• Execute cooking techniques such as grilling, sautéing, baking, and frying with precision and efficiency.
• Support the kitchen team during busy service hours by managing multiple tasks including food prep, plating, and garnishing.
• Maintain proper food handling procedures during meal preparation to ensure freshness and safety.
• Collaborate with team members to uphold high standards of cleanliness, organization, and food presentation.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable.
• Proven kitchen experience in a restaurant or food industry setting demonstrating strong culinary skills.
• Knowledge of food handling practices, sanitation standards, and food safety regulations.
• Skilled in knife techniques, meal preparation, and general food production methods.
• Experience with menu planning, catering, and serving is a plus.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
