Line Cook/Prep Cook

Part of what defines us as a restaurant is our quality of ingredients, presentation, and taste on classic Italian dishes. Our line cooks are essential in helping us keep this quality consistent and typically bring a level of savoriness to each dish. The most important aspect to our line cooks is having an open mind and willingness to learn on a daily basis. Other main duties include preparing and cooking food according to our recipes, cleaning up prep areas and kitchen, making sure the kitchen is stocked and restocked, and ensuring all food leaving the kitchen is up to standard. Line cooks must be able to work nights, weekends, and some holidays.

Job Requirements:

● Knowledge of culinary ingredients and practices

● Intermediate to Expert cooking skills

● Ability to delegate tasks

● Ability to work in challenging environments, while maintaining high standards

● Food hygiene and food preparation qualifications

● Keeping all prep and kitchen areas clean and sanitary

● Making sure the kitchen is stocked and restocked every shift

● Monitor equipment quality

● Help the restaurant determine how much food and supplies need to be ordered

● Train new kitchen staff

Prepping and cooking are the essential part of this job, working with 4 other cooks during a shift, communication and speed while maintaining quality are the key factors to be sucessfull at Primo.

Pay: $16.50 - $18.50 per hour
