Line Cook – Appetizer & Curry Station

Wimal is looking for a reliable, organized line cook with experience in Thai or other Asian cuisine to join our kitchen team. You will work primarily at our appetizer and curry station, handling frying, pan-frying, grilling, and preparing curries and soups using our pre-made bases.

We are a small restaurant with a compact kitchen, so being comfortable working in close quarters is essential. We need someone who keeps their station organized, communicates well with teammates, and takes pride in maintaining a clean, efficient workspace.

Responsibilities

• Prepare appetizers and other station items using deep-frying, pan-frying, and grilling techniques.
• Cook and finish curries and soups using our pre-made bases, following restaurant recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards.
• Complete light prep work, including cutting, portioning, and organizing ingredients.
• Check station inventory, restock supplies, and communicate shortages or prep needs before and during service.
• Keep your station, equipment, and storage areas clean and organized throughout the shift, following food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Coordinate with the rest of the kitchen to prepare orders accurately and on time.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous kitchen experience in a Thai restaurant or another Asian restaurant is required. Thai cooking experience is preferred.
• Comfort working in a small kitchen with limited counter space and shared work areas.
• Reliability and punctuality: Someone who arrives on time, is ready to work, and communicates promptly about scheduling issues.
• Good organization, attention to detail, and the ability to stay focused during busy service.
• A team-first attitude, willingness to follow recipes and directions, and a habit of cleaning as you go.

Pay: From $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
