About Us

We are opening a new Japanese restaurant in the heart of Edmonton’s Ice District, built around a deep love and respect for Japanese food and cooking. Our menu has been designed by Masaki Saito, bringing a thoughtful, ingredient-driven approach to Japanese cuisine. Alongside our specialty Udon, the restaurant will have a strong focus on hambagu (Japanese-style Hamburg steak) cooked over the grill, as well as a selection of Japanese Izakaya-style small plates. We are looking for people who are genuinely excited about Japanese food—not just looking for another restaurant job.

• You don't need to know everything about Japanese cuisine. You do need to want to know more.

Depending on your position and experience, responsibilities may include

• Preparing and cooking authentic Japanese dishes

• Working the Udon station and learning proper Japanese noodle preparation

• Grilling hambagu to order and maintaining consistent quality

• Preparing Izakaya-style small plates

• Ingredient preparation, portioning, and mise en place

• Following recipes and preparation standards precisely

• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe workstation

• Working efficiently during busy service periods

• Supporting other stations when needed

• Learning Japanese cooking techniques and ingredients

• Helping create a welcoming experience for our guests

• Maintaining the high standards expected of a new restaurant built around Japanese cuisine
