Tanya Jo's Cheesesteaks is a family-owned, Philly-inspired cheesesteak restaurant opening in Historic Overtown. Our mission is simple: serve high-quality food with speed, consistency, and genuine hospitality while becoming a neighborhood staple.

We're looking for dependable, hardworking Line Cooks who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and take pride in delivering a great product every time.

Position Summary

As a Line Cook, you'll play a key role in preparing our signature cheesesteaks, fries, and other menu items while maintaining the quality and speed our guests expect. You'll work alongside the Kitchen Lead to ensure every order is prepared accurately, efficiently, and safely.

This is a hands-on position with opportunities to grow into leadership as the company expands.

Responsibilities

• Prepare menu items according to Tanya Jo's recipes and standards
• Operate the flat-top grill, fryers, and other kitchen equipment safely
• Assemble orders quickly and accurately during service
• Maintain portion control and food presentation standards
• Keep your station clean, organized, and fully stocked throughout each shift
• Assist with daily prep and restocking
• Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures
• Work as a team to maintain fast ticket times and a smooth kitchen operation
• Complete opening and closing responsibilities
• Support the Kitchen Lead with additional tasks as needed

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant or kitchen experience preferred, but not required
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
• Reliable transportation

Schedule

• Tuesday through Sunday
• Lunch and dinner shifts
• Weekend availability required
